Summary of NPS/UM Measurements During NRI2012

 Long-term measurements:

5/2/12 – 5/20/12          pressure and temperature measured offshore (foghorn) and in backbay (past Snead’s Ferry Rd. bridge)

5/8/12 – 5/20/12          mega-marans deployed offshore and in channel with downward-looking AWAC (only in channel), thermistor string, CTD, optical sensor (Chl, NTU), and pressure sensor

Daily measurements:

NOTE: “mini-cat” measurements generally include pressure sensor near sea-bed, optical sensor (Chl, NTU) near sea-surface, downward-looking Aquadopp, GPS

NOTE: “mega-ripple frame” measurements generally include deploying a large frame with several ADVs and a horizontal-looking Aquadopp; walking surveys around the frame were also performed
